My passion for photography started in high school, I then went on to study photography at the Fashion Institute of Technology where I received my Associates Degree in the Applied Science of Photography. Continuing my education, I received my Bachelors Degree at C.W. Post/Long Island University in Photography as well. After graduating with my undergraduate degree, I pursued my photography career by working in wedding photography, assisting other professional photographers and creating head shots for both models and dancers. Through this experience, I realized that I wanted to teach my love of photography to others. I then went back to school to become a certified teacher in art. I completed my education by attending Queens College and earning my Masters degree in Art Education.

Directly after receiving my teaching certification I began to teach at a public school on Long Island. I currently teach classes such as Photo 1 and 2, Studio, Graphic Design, AP Studio and Portfolio Prep. I teach all grades levels from Pre k to 12th grade. I have been teaching for 11 years, and LOVE what I do. My teachers schedule allows me to continue to be active in the photography field.

I have extensive knowledge in photography. I was taught in traditional photography but have made the transition to digital photography. My knowledge in PhotoShop and other digital imagery programs has helped me to expand my skills. Having a great love for people of all ages has given me the ability to connect with people, and create amazing photos that captures the memories that will last a lifetime.
